My Mother and I had been referred to Allan and Gloria by a Realtor in Charleston SC. We were to meet them at The Westin in Hilton Head for a day of house hunting. As we waited for them in the lobby we began chatting with a woman who had recently moved out of HH, because of her husbands transfer. The purchase of our condo (unit # 2112 at Windsor II) was a most enjoyable experience. This was due primarily to the experience and diligence of our real estate brokers and now friends, Al & Gloria LaCoe. The initial contact was purely by accident as Nancy and I were waiting at the Dunes Marketing Group office in Palmetto Dunes. Al & Gloria patiently answered our many questions when we expressed our interest in purchasing a condo. Al & Gloria provided the leadership required to “close the deal” and even introduced us to their church where we worship when we visit Hilton Head Island. Nancy and I are planning to make Hilton Head Island and Palmetto Dunes our permanent home in late Spring 2010.

"Total service that has made me feel like a member of their family". That's how I'd describe our past relationship with the LaCoe's. My wife Jan and I purchased a property in Hilton Head which to hold as an investment, and expect eventually to sell it. The key word here is "eventually".

I had been referred to Al and Gloria by a friend of mine and contacted them when we were first looking at properties. We eventually purchased a town home in Tradewinds, with the intent of selling it in the future. We all know what has happened to the real estate market over the last year and a half. You'd expect that the prospect of a longer term sale would result in the LaCoe's simply filing our name away for sending a Christmas card, right? Let me tell you the kind of realtors they are. When I arrived in Savannah for the closing on our property, Al was there at the Savannah airport to pick me up, even though we were buying our property directly from the developer, not selling anything. He and Gloria arranged for us to rent an ocean view condo for a few days when we came down to check on our property a few months later. And Al has kept me apprised of home values over the last 3 years, consulting with me as needed to advise me on market conditions for resale.
